Major web browser Opera has announced the upcoming launch of Opera Touch for iOS, according to an official press release published Tuesday, March 5, Opera Touch is a web 3 browser with an integrated Crypto wallet and for Ethereum (ETH) Interact with support and decentralized Applications (DAPs).
Back in December, Opera launched its “web 3-rd” browser with an implicit crypto wallet for Android users. Opera announced the decision to extend its services to iOS as a result of the successful integration of the crypto wallet and DAP Explorer for Android.
Although the launch date of the Opera Touch for iOS was not stated, the press release states that users can sign up to test the app through their site.
On February 6, Opera added a new service, which allowed users in Sweden, Norway and Denmark to buy Ethereum via the Android version of the browser. The new service was enabled through a partnership between opera and brokerage firm Safello. According to the opera, is registered with the Financial Supervisory Authority in Safelo, Sweden.
Back in July 2018, Opera announced the addition of an implicit cryptocurrency wallet to their browser. Product Manager Charles Hemel said that Opera was “the first major browser to open Web 3.0.”
